Stacking the Deck: Phony Choice

I am wondering why charter schools are able to avoid many of the rules and regulations that regular public schools have to obey. Don’t all students deserve the same expectations? This is just another example of how states provide false choice. Students and parents are unable to make real choices since the deck is stacked. The goal is to make regular public schools testing factories and so tied up with regulations, that students will go elsewhere using our tax money. Florida is one of the states that stacks the deck the most.

The State Board often approves charter schools that were rejected by local elected officials. They were rejected due to severe problems with applications. It should be chilling to people around the nation when unelected officials exert power over elected officials in these matters.

The state wants phony choice. Florida is stacking the deck with Jeb Bush playing the Joker.
