Books are Enough

The Power of Free, Self-Selected Reading

Florida Strikes Out Again

The Florida Department of Education (sic) will no longer offer the FCAT Math test after the end of this school year. Students still needing it for graduation are out of luck. Your only option is to take the SAT or ACT.

Florida continues to bastardize the SAT and ACT. These tests were never designed to be used in this way. They are also not designed to be FORCED on students. Students in Florida and other states are being forced to take these tests- to help school grades.

The ACT and SAT have little relation to college or career ready. There is a reason why more colleges are going ACT and SAT optional. Smart move!
