Common Core Boondoggle
We are being misled again. A lot of folks out there are being dishonest when they push for more spending on technology. My friends, the current push for technology is being driven by the many Common Core collaborators and the educational testing complex.
Common Core testing – backed by AFT, NEA, IRA, and NCTE – will require a massive infrastructure upgrade that rivals the building of the Death Star.
The problem is- this is not another galaxy and it is not a long time ago.

*In state after state, technology labs are being closed for weeks at a time to accommodate testing. What will happen when the additional Common Core testing is added?
*In state after state, school libraries are being fitted with banks of computers and the libraries are closed for weeks at a time to accommodate testing. What will happen when the additional Common Core testing is added? No books for you! We are testing.
*It is hard to get classes into labs to actually use computers for projects and research. You know? Advance learning?
Schools are becoming testing centers and we are allowing it.
The rich get rich and the poor get more tests. In the meantime, in between time, ain’t we got fun?
